Many come from unsupportive environments and struggle with self-belief, but with the right guidance, they can unlock their full potential. That’s why mentoring and providing opportunities for young people is at the heart of what we do.

Recently, we had the privilege of working with Teesside University and The Talent Foundry to mentor young people, helping them gain confidence and prepare for life after school. This experience reinforced just how important it is to offer support, encouragement, and real-world opportunities to those who need it most.

The Power of Encouragement

Walking into the room, there was an undeniable energy—hope, ambition, but also a lot of nerves. Many of these young people are stepping into the unknown, and that uncertainty can be overwhelming. But that’s exactly why opportunities like these are so vital. Having someone to say, “You’ve got this, and here’s how you can take the next step” can make all the difference.

I had the chance to meet some brilliant young individuals with bright futures ahead. Their ideas, enthusiasm, and potential were inspiring. More importantly, I saw how much impact a little encouragement can have. Sometimes, all it takes is a conversation, a piece of advice, or a shared experience to shift a mindset from doubt to determination.
